SWOT and PESTLE analyses are generally used by organizations to assess the condition of the company. Usually, SWOT and PESTLE analyses are widely used in organization such as Telekom Malaysia, Nike, TESCO and others. Usually, most of the organization used SWOT and PESTLE analysis when they facing problems, want to find a solution or before making any decision.
SWOT analysis
SWOT analysis is a tool that is used to identify the STRENGTH, WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITY and THREAT of an organization.
The first thing that needs to be identifying in SWOT analysis is Strength. Strength is the internal capabilities of the organization. Sometimes, resources also can be considered as Strength. Strength also can be defined as anything that can make your company/organization better than others. The strength of the organization/company can be look at several areas such as:
o Finance
o Production and Provisions
o Human resource management
o Marketing
Although the SWOT analysis is a brief view of the situation analysis, but it actually help the organization to make a better decision making.

PESTEL analysis
Like SWOT analysis, PESTEL analysis is also used to identify the condition of the organization. Generally, PESTEL analysis is used to identify environmental factors that can affect the organization. In PESTEL analysis, the environmental factors that can affect the organization will be assess in 6 dimensions; which are Politic, Economy, Social, Technology, Legal and Environment.
